Lester E. Potts, An Artist Who Had Alzheimer's Disease

Lester E Potts An Artist Who Had Alzheimers Disease
Media formats available:

The paintings on the cover and here were created by Lester E. Potts, Jr. (1928–2007), who had Alzheimer’s disease. After his diagnosis, Lester became a client at Caring Days Day Care facility in Tuscaloosa, AL, where he participated in expressive arts programs. Prior to this, Lester had shown no artistic ability or interest in painting, but he fell in love with watercolor painting, creating over 100 unique pieces. Many were expressive of his early life experiences and memories. Known internationally, as a symbol of the triumphant human spirit despite the hardship of disease, Lester’s artwork is available for purchase at www.lesterslegacy.com as individual prints and notecards.
