    Marc A. Riedl, MD, MS, is a professor of medicine, the HAE Community Endowed Chair, and the Clinical Director of the US HAEA Angioedema Center at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He also serves as the Clinical Service Chief for the Division of Allergy & Immunology at UCSD. Dr Riedl received his medical degree from the University of Chicago - Pritzker School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University in St. Louis, MO and his fellowship in clinical immunology and allergy at UCLA School of Medine – Center for the Health Sciences in Los Angeles, CA. He also received a Master of Science degree in Clinical Research at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr Riedl is board certified in allergy-immunology and clinical pharmacology.

    Dr Riedl directs an active clinical research program at UCSD that is focused on angioedema and immunodeficiency conditions and lectures frequently at national and international medical conferences. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed manuscripts, including work in The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, and The Lancet. He serves on numerous scientific committees and expert panels for the FDA and NlH. Dr Riedl is a member of the editorial boards of JACI: In Practice and Allergy and Asthma Proceedings. He also serves on the US HAEA Medical Advisory Board, the Immune Deficiency Foundation Physician Advisory Committee, and the Board of Directors for the Western Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
