Kristin Huntoon, PhD, is a 3rd-year DO candidate at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is from Wacousta, Michigan, a small town where there are still dirt roads. She is excited about the way that medicine is evolving, especially after the genome project. She says she believes the way medicine "is practiced and viewed will be changing at an alarming rate, and I am looking forward to being a part of that, both in patient care and research. Additionally, she says that "the value of healthcare is a near to my heart and I hope to continue to part of a movement that makes healthcare a right in the United States." Dr. Huntoon calls herself "a midwest girl at heart," who loves sports, especially Michigan State football and basketball.
