Jeffrey Kutcher, MD, FAAN

    Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher is a sports neurologist at the University of Michigan, and director of Michigan NeuroSport, an academic and clinical program focused on improving the neurological care of athletes. His career path began on the ice rinks of Southeast Michigan, where a lifetime of playing hockey provided him with the athlete's perspective. His academic training began with a BS from the University of Michigan. He received his MD from the Tulane University School of Medicine and returned to the University of Michigan for his neurology residency. Dr. Kutcher has been on staff at the University of Michigan since 2002.

    Dr. Kutcher is also a team physician for the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University athletic programs and medical director of the Eastern Michigan University Athletic Training Program. His research interests include developing clinical tools for the diagnosis of concussion, risk factors for concussion, and the relationship between concussion and migraine headache. Dr. Kutcher is chair of the sports neurology section of the American Academy of Neurology.
