The artwork on the cover is a watercolor painting by RM, an artist who had Alzheimer’s disease. It is titled “Argentina Beach with Family,” and was created at an art therapy group at Terracina Grand in Naples, FL. Art Therapist, Angel C. Duncan, MA-MFT, ATR (https://www.linkedin.com/in/angelart) had asked participants in the group to paint a happy memory of whatever came to mind. After creating this painting in response, RM said it was where she is from, Argentina, and that this was the beach where,
“These beautiful flowers grow, and I went there with my family. We would stay there all day long and eat, drink, and swim in the ocean. It was beautiful and good to be with family where everyone spends time with their family, but it can be very hot. The beach there is like no other—it is so hot, but it is beautiful, and it is my family.”
