Parkinson’s IQ + You Events Provide Support for All Affected by the Disorder

A series of events titled Parkinson’s IQ + You will be taking place at locations across the US throughout 2019 and 2020. These events are designed to help people with Parkinson's disease (PD) and their care partners manage the effects of PD, learn about research, and connect with local resources.

Presented by the Michael J. Fox Foundation, events in Atlanta, GA September 14, 2019; Anaheim, CA December 14, 2019; and Phoenix, AZ January 11, 2020, with more to follow in 2020. The events will include interactive panels and sessions on understanding PD, living well with PD, partnering with neurologists and others who provide health care, and learning about and getting involved in both clinical research and PD advocacy. Registration and a welcome breakfast begin at 8:00 AM, although preregistration is encouraged. The program will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM  and includes multiple breaks, lunch, and light refreshments throughout the day. 

The program will address all stages of PD, and Registration is free, open to all people affected by PD, and available at https://www.michaeljfox.org/PDIQ.

At a simulataneous partner expo, there will be resources and information for attendees to learn more about exercise programs, support groups, research opportunities, treatment options, and more as well as make connections within the Parkinson's community.
